Anglican Church, Diocese of Singapore visited CCC/TSPM

The delegation from Anglican Church, Diocese of Singapore, led by Archbishop John Chew, visited CCC/TSPM on Aug. 3rd, 2010.




During the meeting, Elder Fu Xianwei, Chairperson of National Committee of TSPM, expressed warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of CCC/TSPM. ¡°This is the first time to meet so many friends from Anglican Church, Diocese of Singapore in the office of CCC/TSPM. I hope both sides can continue to support, understand and cooperate with each other through this communication. I also would like to extend our gratitude to you for your long-time support to the Protestant Church in China on certain ministries.¡± said by Elder Fu.




Rev. Gao Feng, President of CCC, said: ¡°It is my pleasure to meet everyone here. CCC/TSPM and Anglican Church, Diocese of Singapore have maintained the good relationship with each other for a long time. I am so glad that God gave us the chance to review the friendship this time. Last year, CCC/TSPM hosted several training programs. Your church sent several experts to teach the trainees, which helped those trainees a lot. So I would like to extend my gratitude to you again.¡±


Bishop John Chew expressed the gratitude for CCC/TSPM inviting the delegation to visit China on behalf of Anglican Church, Diocese of Singapore. He mentioned that the mutual visits of the two sides were over 10 times and he trusted that both organizations will enhance the mutual cooperation ministry via communication and visit.


After the meeting, both sides presented gifts respectively. The delegation also visited the CCC/TSPM bookstore and the Holy Trinity Cathedral and took a group picture.


Rev. Bao Jiayuan, Associate General Secretary of CCC, Rev. Shan Weixiang, Associated General Secretary of CCC, Elder On Enlin, person in charge of Overseas Relations Department of CCC/TSPM, Mr. Gu Mengfei, person in charge of Research Department of CCC/TSPM, Rev. Xie Bingguo, President of Shanghai CC and other staff of CCC/TSPM also attended the meeting.
