On the noon of May 26, 2010, Dr. Josh McDowell, a famous American writer, led a delegation of 8 people to visit CCC/TSPM. Rev. Xu Xiaohong, Secretary General of National TSPM and Rev. Bao Zhimin, Deputy Director of Publication Department of CCC/TSPM received the delegation.

Dr. McDowell is a famous Apologist and has written many well-know books, among which the most popular books for Chinese readers are Evidence That Demands a Verdict and More Than a Carpenter. Rev. Xu extended warm welcome to Dr. McDowell and his colleagues. He admired the gift on writing skill that Dr. McDowell received from God and wished him to publish more books on Apologetics or other devotional books for Chinese believers. Dr. McDowell was very glad to hear that his books are so welcomed by Chinese readers and wished he could strengthen the friendship with the Protestant Church in China and Chinese Christians as well.

The whole period for Dr. McDowell and his delegation visiting China is around 10 days, and their first stop was at Hangzhou, second at Shanghai and last at Beijing. The main purpose for his visit to China is to give lectures on Apologetics to the seminary students. After the meeting with Rev. Xu and Rev. Bao, Dr. McDowell and his delegation visited Eastern Theological Seminary and did a lecture there.
