On the afternoon of Dec 21 2010, Elder Fu Xianwei, president of China Christian Three-self Patriotic Movement Committee, met Rev. Wei Tixiang, chairman of Taiwan Christian Dandelion Hope Foundation. Elder Fu introduced the basic conditions and challenges of mainland Christianity and expressed the wish to strengthen the communication between churches of both sides. Elder Fu believed that “good human relations” is an irresistible general trend and the direction of popular sentiments because of the good timing, geographical convenience cultivated by outside environment. It is the hope of people and the will of God to develop the relationship between churches of the two sides. Rev. Weitixiang appreciated the point a lot and expressed his willingness to work more serve as a bridge for the communication between both sides. He said that it is inner burden inspired by God for doing so. The purpose of Rev. Wei coming to Shanghai is also to discuss with CCC/TSPM about the visit to Beijing and Shanghai by Taiwan Christian pastors and colleagues next March. Other concerned items are covered as well in the meeting.

During the meeting, Rev. Shan Weixiang, associate general secretary of China Christian Council and Elder Ou Enlin, deputy director of Overseas Relations Department of CCC/TSPM were present.
