The Delegation from St.John's Cathedral of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Visited CCC/TSPM

On the afternoon of Oct. 14, 2010, a delegation of 20 people from St. John¡¯s Cathedral of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui led by their Dean, Canon Rev. Andrew Chan, visited CCC/TSPM and shared the faith and church development with CCC/TSPM leaders.


Elder Fu Xian Wei, Chairperson of the National Committee of TSPM, warmly welcomed the delegation on behalf of CCC/TSPM. Elder Fu briefly introduced the general information of the churches in Mainland China and some of the challenges the churches are facing now. Particularly, he introduced the renovation work of the Holy Trinity Cathedral. Elder Fu extended his sincere gratitude to St. John¡¯s Cathedral for the continuous support to the churches in Mainland China and the renovation work of the Holy Trinity Cathedral. Elder Fu indicated that two sides have had the friendship for a long time and hope it could be deepened through this visit. After the introduction, Elder Fu answered the questions raised by the guests, such as how to train the ministers, etc.


The delegation showed their gratitude to CCC/TSPM¡¯s warm hospitality. They regarded that this meeting was very meaningful, which could help to have better mutual understanding and enhance the relations with each other better. Meanwhile, they also hope that their home town churches could get the support and learn more valuable experience from the churches in Mainland China.


Elder Ou Enlin, Deputy Director of Overseas Relations Department of CCC/TSPM also attended the meeting. After the friendly communication, attendees had a group picture together.
